AMSET on your phone and watch too

You can ask AMSET for things even when you are away from the computer. There are two apps of our own, one for Android and one for Wear OS watches, and both pair with a six-digit code you approve from the web. That is why neither of them stores a password.

Android

The phone app

Talk to it without unlocking

  • Say “AMSET” and it listens. The word is recognised on the phone itself, without sending audio anywhere. It only works with the screen locked and comes switched off: you turn it on.
  • Shaking the locked phone also opens the microphone.
  • The button on Bluetooth headphones does the same.
  • If you would rather tap: the orb in the app, a quick-settings tile, a home-screen widget or the persistent notification.

The whole chat on your phone

  • Messages with formatting, attachments, templates and answers with buttons to choose from.
  • One tab showing what it is doing live and another with the files it has produced, which you can save or share.
  • Cancel, retry, edit and resend, ask for another answer or schedule the retry for when the quota resets.
  • A button to turn a conversation that went well into an automatic task.

Useful notifications

  • Reply from the notification without opening the app, even with the screen locked.
  • It tells you how the work is going, reminds you of things on time and sounds a full-screen alarm if you ask it to find your phone.
  • In the car, with Android Auto, it reads answers out loud and you reply by voice.
  • Notifications come through its own connection, without going through third-party notification services.

Security on the phone

  • Fingerprint or PIN lock, and you choose how long before it asks again.
  • The session is stored encrypted in the phone’s own secure storage.
  • Android's automatic backups are switched off for this app.

There are two versions and both can be installed on the same phone: AMSET, the personal one, and AMSET Working, which adds the team chat and the business module.

Requirements: Android 8 or later. It takes up a little over 100 MB because it includes the voice model that works offline.

Wear OS

The watch app

It works even when your phone is not on you, because it connects to AMSET directly without going through the phone.

Tap the orb and speak. The answer plays through the watch speaker, even if you have headphones connected to the phone.

A list of conversations and running tasks, to see what it is up to without taking your phone out.

A button to find your phone, which makes it ring even on silent.

AMSET's own watch face with time and date, battery, heart rate, steps and temperature, using the same dial as the assistant.

The control

What it can really operate

This is what exists today, with its limits. For it to control the phone you have to switch on the Android accessibility service by hand, the permission that lets an app tap the screen for you.

The computers

From the chat you choose which computer does the next thing, see live how busy it is and can cancel whatever it is running. The agent only works inside the folders that computer allows.

The phone

Open an app, tap a button by its text, type into the active field and read the screen. That is enough to chain tasks together, but it does no gestures or swipes: just those four actions.

Websites and servers

Code changes, domains and their email, and new servers. Anything that costs money asks for explicit confirmation first.

The home

Samsung TV over the network (on, off, volume, channel, HDMI and opening apps), air conditioning and lamps using the codes it learns from your infrared remotes, and the robot vacuum.

Downloads

Installing the apps

They are not on Google Play: they install from their installation file (APK). Public download is not open yet, so write to us and we will send you the right version.
